NTFP is seeking a qualified and potential candidate for the position of Senior Project Manager, it could be continued further depending on available funding.
Location: Based in Banlung Municipality, Ratanakiri province.
Reporting to: The Senior Project Manager will report directly to Executive Director.
- Key Responsibilities
- Experiences on natural resources management, especially ( CPA or Community Forest even appreciated).
- Experience on the agro-forestry if any but not compulsory.
- Knowledge and experiences working with the indigenous people, mainly at northeast provinces, including the indigenous people’s culture.
- The candidate proved to be workable, endurable and adaptable with the far-flung hamlet dense forest geography sort of
- Experiences working and collaboration with government departments, especially the Department of Environment.
- Physical fit to ride motorbike in the mentioned terrain and geography.
- Experiences on laws, and any relevant policies on environments such as Community Protected Areas, Community Forestry, FPICs, IP Rights or Business and Human Right, is appreciated.
- Experience on Biodiversity and conservation.
- Project Management
- Working with project team to develop project annual operation and budget plan;
- Leading, facilitating and managing the project under his/her supervision;
- Ensuring that all annual project plan, such as budget, activity plan of each project are effective and efficient;
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Preparing quarterly, and six month for ED and donors base on donor’s requirement.
- Submitting report in Khmer to local authorities and relevant departments when asked by the local authorities.
- Under ED’s support, the PM will develop project and program monitoring framework;
- Facilitating regular program staff meetings and reflection;
- Developing sound documentation including, best practice lesson learnt, and case study (Six month and annually) under support by ED.
- Conduct field monitoring to monitor project activities, coach, and mentor staff at least 7-8 times per month including sleeping overnight at field.
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent experiences is required
- At least experiences on project’s management and leadership for 3 years
- Understanding the indigenous people’s culture, social and tradition is appreciated;
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commitment, perseverance, and dedication to work in hard condition and circumstances, especially be in remote areas;
- Good English (both written and spoken);
- Ability to drive motorcycle and stay at remote communities.
