Senior Assistant for Ocean Operations
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
This role is for Global Freight Management.
- Enter ocean export shipment data into system and create air/ocean exportdocumentation including MB/L instruction, HB/L, manifest, invoices, delivery orders and file settlement reports.
- Communicate with Carrier or Co-loader and overseas agents regarding shipmentdetails and problem resolution.
- Communicate with Carriers to verify export departure information.
- Update and forward customer shipment tracking reports as required by customers’Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Arrange trucking to customer’s warehouses as required by SOP’s.
- Communicate with freight locations to verify shipment availability.
- Identify and resolve issues causing delays in ocean cargo movement.
- Create and forward back up documentation for accounts payable for payments onappropriate A/P posted items.
- Bachelor’s degree or above with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Freight Forwarding and ocean operation.
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal Communication
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving ability and excellent customer service
- Good collaboration and teamwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS office applications and other freight management system is preferable
Senior Supervisor for Air Operations
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
This role is for Global Freight Management.
- Monitoring arrival & availability of cargo by airlines and CFS, and coordinating with brokerage team for customs releases etc.
- Monitoring delivery arrangement per customer requirements and follow-up
- Monitoring ATAs /ATDs and reporting any discrepancies and delays to Manager
- Working hand in hand within the Brokerage Team, Customer Service Team, KAM Team and Sales Team for a smooth operation
- Guiding, Leading & Supervising divisions within AI & AE team and reporting to Divisional Manager. Create and forward back up documentation for accounts payable for payments on appropriate A/P posted items.
- Building Relationship with the airlines and trucking partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or above with a minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in
- Freight Forwarding with air operation experience.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics including Air Operation
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service
- Good collaboration and teamwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS office applications and other freight management system is preferable
