Security and Logistics Assistant

Position Summary

Location: Chbar Ampov

Reporting to: Clinic Manager

Probationary Period: 3 months

The Security and Logistics Assistant is responsible for ensuring the overall security of the clinic, including the office, equipment and vehicles. The role is also responsible for providing day-to-day logistic support for the clinic operations.

  • Ensure the clinic is safe and secure at all times and that safety measures are in place in line with the Marie Stopes’ Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure all Marie Stopes’ vehicles are locked and safely protected every day
  • Ensure all equipment is locked and safely stored each day
  • Ensure the area outside the clinic is cleaned every day and well maintained at all times
  • Water plants and flowers every day
  • Ensure all external doors and windows are locked once staff have gone home
  • When requested, provide information to clients about the Clinic’s services and working hours
  • Be sure all electrical appliances are off after working hours
  • Report any abnormalities, problems or security issues around the office to the Acting Centre Manager
  • Perform other duties requested by line manager
  • Measures
  • All door/windows are locked every day
  • All equipment safely locked each night
  • All staff vehicles are properly protected
  • The outside area of the clinic is clean at all times
  • Any security problems are reported on time
  • Positive feedback from the clients and staff
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics support
  • With support from logistics at HoF, manage all related maintenance tasks. Ensure the clinic is well maintained including the furniture and the building
  • Manage minor repairs within the clinic campus, including anything related to plumbing, electricity, building and furniture, and where necessary co-ordinate with Centre Manager for major repairs
  • Coordinate any document deliveries needed between the support office and the clinic
  • Assist reception to manage clients during peak periods
  • Accompany receptionist to bank cash
  • Support cleaner during major clinic clean ups
  • Assist line manager in disseminating all relevant information to clients inside or outside the clinic as required
  • When requested, assist in receiving and moving stock
  • Assist clients with parking needs. Ensuring exits are not blocked
  • Ensure clinic assets are labelled with asset stickers
  • Assist Infection Prevention Assistant to ensure equipment is appropriately sterilized.

  • All clients are welcomed in a friendly manner and reception support provided when needed
  • All clinic assets are properly checked and registered
  • Announcements and notices at the centre are up-to-date.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Qualifications:
  • High school educated/graduated
  • Experience:
  • Essential
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a guard or logistics officer
  • Experience working in the sexual reproductive health field is preferable
  • Skills:
  • English (written and spoken) is desirable
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Honesty and excellent interpersonal and team work skills
  • Willing to work under flexible working hours
  • The highest levels of integrity, strong ethical sense
