Scholarship Transition Teachers (3 Positions)

Position Summary

The position is short-term holiday position

JOB PURPOSE

To support the scholarship program, ISPP will hire teachers or tutors to work with the new intake of Grade 6 students during the summer break. The teachers will also support the existing scholars at ISPP who range in ages from 11-17 years old.

EMPLOYMENT TERM AND CONDITIONS:

Positions available:

  • 1 x Teachers (preferably female)
  • Work with our oldest scholars (6 students) on a two-week residential program at Farmhouse Smiling Gecko in Kampong Chhnang Province. (18th - 28th June) with a planning day at ISPP on 17th June.
  • This teacher would also help lead the Scholarship summer school programme on campus at ISPP from 1st July to 2nd August (5 Weeks in total).

Contract: This is a short term position for the duration of the transition program. The sessions are usually half days (8am-12pm) or equivalent. Rates of pay will vary between $16hr to $22hr depending on qualifications.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The teachers will implement projects that involve and develop social skills and leadership skills opportunities for the scholarship students.
  • The teachers will work with the students to improve their English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • The teachers will work with the students to develop their general knowledge in social studies.
  • The teachers will teach Mathematics.
  • The teachers will teach etiquette in the society including Khmer culture.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • High level of spoken and written English
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience
