Position Summary

PROJECT OR DIVISION Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

REPORTS TO Provincial Fulfillment Manager (PFM)

LOCATION Based in the Siem Reap province with frequent day trips to villages and sometimes overnight travel to Phnom Penh.

PURPOSE

The Sanitation Business Advisor (SBA) provides training and coaching on business and supply chain management and safe discharge for Faecal Sludge Management which lead Latrine Business Owner (LBO) to create a business sustainable without iDE support.

RELATIONSHIPS

The primary professional relationships within iDE include the following:

  • Reports directly to Provincial Fulfillment Manager
  • Support LBOs to create a business sustainability
  • Collaborates closely with other members of the provincial teams such as District Sale Manager (DSM), Technical Associate (TA), Research and Learning Associate (RLA), and Provincial Admin Officer (PAO)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The SBA has overall responsibility to support and coach LBO on business management, supply chain management, safe discharge, and business sustainability.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Take overall responsibility and management supply chain management
  • Develop a weekly, monthly, quarterly work plan outlining supply chain activities.
  • Conduct training and coaching to LBO on WASH products and Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) empty service
  • Lead in recruit, contract, onboard, and train to new LBOs
  • Do load balancing in the Salesforce on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with LBO and TA in charge of quality assurance of sanitation products, FSM service and do the best approach for having solution/repair disqualified products; if it was the quality issues.
  • Work closely with sale to align with quarterly sale plan and target and territory planning and supply chain management
  • Support to LBO on Payment Installment Plan(PIP), Deposit Restitution (DR) and Subsidy implementation on verification and payment process.
  • Support and facilitate the problem and challenges for LBOs
  • Compliance with Fulfilment Standard Operation Procedure (SoP) and
  • Operation Manual
  • Safe Discharge and safeguarding
  • Ensure that LBOs to comply with safe discharge Standard Operation Procedure (SoP) and government policy
  • Responsible for any unsafe practice by connected LBOs
  • Conduct spot check and verify with household and LBO on safe discharge practice.
  • Support to Provincial Fulfilment Manager (PFM) to solve problems with local authorities for unsafe discharge practice in the community.
  • Lead LBOs or laborers have a safeguard practices such as wearing proper PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Coordinate with LBO to sign agreement with district or commune on practice of safe discharge
  • Business sustainability
  • Support on pilot and scale up of business sustainability model
  • Train and coach on business sustainability with LBO
  • Work close with Enabling Environment Officer (EEO) on public private partnership on connecting between LBOs and local government to create sustainable business
  • Train and coach to LBO to increase number business sale by themselves
  • Performance Review
  • Conduct quarterly performance review with PFM
  • Conduct 360 review
  • Provide training and coaching to LBO
  • Meeting and Check-in
  • Attend fulfillment team bi-weekly meeting with PFM and TA
  • Coordinate the quarterly LBO meeting with PFM
  • Attend quarterly circle meetings
  • Attend weekly check-in with PFM
  • Attend the 2 layer meeting with DSM
  • Reporting and Dashboard Analysis
  • Prepare daily and weekly fulfillment reports and submit to PFM
  • Dashboard Analysis in Salesforce
  • Financial Transaction
  • Prepare cash advance and clearance on time every month
Requirements:
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Graduated from university with a degree in Management and Business Management
  • At least 3-year work experience in supply chain or fulfillment management
  • Experience in training and coaching to business as asset
  • Experience in private sector and concept of business sustainability as asset
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Creativity and innovative new ideas for improve the operations
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language (written and oral communication skills)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite; including MS Excel. Experience with G Suite preferred (Gmail, Google Doc, Google Sheet, Google Drive, Google Meet etc)
