Expectations - - Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist customers in selecting cigars, tobacco products, and accessories based on their preferences.
- Educate customers on product features, including cigar origins, flavors, and pairings.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cigar brands, tobacco products, and accessories.
- Recommend products and upsell when appropriate.
- Conduct product demonstrations and tastings (if applicable).
- Store Operations:
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Stock shelves, maintain inventory, and perform regular product checks.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Monitor and maintain proper humidity and temperature levels in cigar storage areas.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cigars, tobacco products, and accessories is a strong advantage.
- Able to communicate with customers in English
Bartender
Duties, Responsibilities
Expectations - - Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, sake, shochu, Japanese whiskey, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Create signature cocktails that reflect the restaurant’s Japanese theme.
- Ensure all drinks are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable bar experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Bar Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Menu Development:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal drink menus.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into the beverage program.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in training new staff on beverage preparation and service standards.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender, preferably in a fine-dining or Japanese restaurant.
- Knowledge of Japanese beverages, including sake, shochu, and Japanese whiskey, is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong mixology skills and creativity in crafting cocktails.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling.

- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.
- Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods to maintain high service standards.
- Follow instructions from the Restaurant Captain or Supervisor.
- Guest Experience:
- Provide authentic Japanese hospitality to create a memorable dining experience
- Address guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
- Operational Support:
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
- Monitor inventory of dining supplies (e.g., menus, napkins, chopsticks) and report shortages.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and dining etiquette is a plus.
