Research Analyst
Work Location: SBK Head Office
Division/Department: Research, Monitoring and Evaluation
Reports to: Research Director.
The overall purpose of this position is to establish accurate scientific research-based data and support the research team by providing adequate, accurate and legitimate data and their analysis on timely manner. The data Manager will develop efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with high attention to security and confidentiality.
- Main Responsibilities are to:
- Design techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data;
- Develop efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with high attention to security and confidentiality;
- Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with related research team members, senior management and external stakeholders, when needed;
- Facilitate survey team’s training program, ensure quality of questionnaires to adapt with data entry software (Tablets);
- Prepare plan for data checking for their completeness, consistency, data sorting by arranging the data into meaningful order to make it easier to understand, analyze or visualize;
- Execute final data cleaning and tabulation considering the nature of the data, prepare graphs and charts according to the requirement of each project in consultation with Team leader and study Coordinator.
- Assist team leader in data analysis using statistic model. The staff member is required to conduct additional statistical analysis based on the need.
- Ensure digital databases and archives of all final data are protected from security breaches and data losses;
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and data modeling skills.
- The ability to manipulate large, complex data sets into manageable, understandable reports.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills.
- Familiarity with data modeling software and Excel software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Collaborate with admin department to review project documents, translation and other assigned tasks;
- Support in computer maintenance and other electronic equipment repair (basic);
- Overseeing project implementation;

- Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- At least Bachelor’s Degree on Statistics, Business Management, Commerce, Marketing required
- Associate degree and experience on data planning, organization and their management is highly desirable.
- An analytical mindset with problem solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer, including ability to effectively communicate with national and international partners;
- Excellent computer proficiency (Word, SPSS, Excel, Outlook, CAPI design, KoboToolbox)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
