Radiographer / Sonographer
- Operate radiology equipment and correctly position patients
- Practice within the limits of personal knowledge and skills
- Evaluate radiologic images for quality and accuracy
- Ensure adequate supplies of testing equipment
- Provide patients with radiation protection equipment and ensure they comply with safety and hygiene standards
- Perform radiographic room disinfection and ensure general cleanliness of exam areas
- Ensure that imaging equipment is in optimum operating order and inform the appropriate person when it needs repairs
- Portray a positive and confident behavior and appearance in all professional activities
- Self-evaluate and develop clear performance goals to enhance professional effectiveness
- Demonstrate the skills and techniques of the profession
- Produce optimal radiographs while minimizing the amount of radiation dose, without significant image degradation
- Ensure that the privacy and confidentiality of each patient are maintained at all times
- Perform the procedure in a manner that maintains patient’s dignity
- Regularly check mechanical functionality and integrity of the equipment
- Communicate with the Radiologist for any concern regarding radiology examinations.
- Bachelor's degree in radiology or sonography or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge and 2 years’ experience or more of relevant radiologic equipment; preferably in Ultrasound, Mammogram, X-ray, and CT-Scan
- Clear understanding of radiologic safety standards and regulations
- Good command of English
