QHSE Officer
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
Reports to: QHSE Director
JOB PURPOSE:
Newrest Cambodia is looking for a QHSE Officer who will join the QHSE team to develop the QHSE culture and the I Care program and will be responsible for overseeing the food safety and occupational safety aspects of our clients' canteens.
This person will be responsible for a variety of elements including carrying out safety and quality audits, temperature checks, microbiological testing, incident investigation and training of team members.
This position requires travel throughout the country.You are hierarchically attached to the QHSE Director.
- Daily review of food safety and quality records to ensure compliance with company food standards.
- Carry out food safety and health and safety audits and ensure Newrest requirements are met.
- Carry out quality checks in hot and cold food kitchens to ensure specifications are met.
- Monitor personal hygiene, GMP, GHP and HACCP.
- Ensures that action plans to remedy shortcomings are followed up after audits by the relevant managers to validate their completion.
- Implement and apply company policies and procedures.
- Ensure training of employees in all departments
- Interact with the QHSE Manager for weekly updates.
- Carry out monthly self-assessments on food safety elements and perform the required food safety tests as defined in the HACCP plan.
- Collect and control all quality-related documents.
- Participate in and support company-sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, employee safety.
- On her/his daily basis, Humility, Simplicity, Efficiency, Responsibility, Accountability
- Performs other related duties.
- Mandatory speak, read, and write Khmer
- Bachelor's degree in food science or food safety preferred but not required,
- Three to five years of food quality assurance experience on food processing, catering and retail activity is a plus,
- Good communication skills with ability to correct and teach at the same time,
- Ability to speak English mandatory (IELTS score 5 is a plus) and Chinese, Thai, French is a plus
- Proven understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), HACCP, and ISO 22000-2018 regulations,
- Well-organized, rigorous, and methodical but enough adaptability to local constraints.
