Duties: The incumbent of this position is the key Public Health Specialist in providing technical and managerial advice to the US CDC, Division of Global HIV and TB in Cambodia. The position is responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of a broad range of CDC -funded HIV prevention program activities aiming to provide technical assistance to the National Center for HIV/AIDS Dermatology and SDT(NCHADS) to reach the 1st 95 of UNAIDS goal. The HIV prevention program activities, such as PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), PEP (Post-exposure Prophylaxis), HIV index testing, HIV recency testing, partner notification tracing and testing (PNTT), treatment as prevention, elimination of mother to child transmission (e-PMTCT) and other HIV case finding and new prevention approaches, plus HIV external quality assurance and quality control (EQA/QC), are required by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The job holder is a program contact to the Cambodia Ministry of Health, NCHADS, and other stakeholders (bilateral, multilateral, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the assigned program activities. S/he represents US CDC Cambodia on HIV Prevention program and treatment program areas at technical, policy, and strategic planning meetings, including local, regional, and international meetings with collaborators and donor agencies. The job holder serves as the activity manager for US CDC cooperative agreements and coordinates funding, reporting, and administration with the extramural team to assure projects are conducted and USG funds are appropriately utilized.
