Psychologist (1 Position)
This role primarily involves the provision of therapy services to a wide range of clients (children, adolescents, adults, families, couples) from diverse cultural backgrounds (expatriate and Cambodian clients). The role also involves opportunities to provide training, consulting, and supervision services to a range of schools, and organisations.
- Providing evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions to individuals and groups, including to children, young people and families
- Conducting mental health assessments for clients, making diagnoses when appropriate, and developing tailored treatment plans
- Completing electronic client notes and reports
- Writing letters to other health professionals and external agencies to assist the client in accessing other services and support
- Preparing for, and attending, clinical supervision sessions and team meetings
- Monitoring client progress through regular feedback and outcome measures
- Master’s Level University Degree in Mental Health Counselling or Clinical Psychology
- Advanced spoken and written English and Khmer language
- Willingness to learn and develop as a mental health professional
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-cultural team
- Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Good observational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients
- Proficient computer skills, particularly using Microsoft programmes
