Building Community Voices (BCV) is a vibrant and pound Cambodian NGO and aims to promote the collective voice of marginalized people in order to enable them to secure, empower their community and build up capacity to claim their rights. BCV will be implementing a project called “Advancing Rights in Cambodia” in Ratanak Kiri and Mondul Kiri provinces. Therefore, BCV now is seeking for a qualified Cambodian national to fill the position below:

Position Summary

These positions are based in Ratanakiri province, Cambodia, and report to Program Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of project coordinator, the project assistance will oversight and implement activities as in their action plans effectively, implement project budget and monitor project activities regularly in Ratanak Kiri provinces. The project will work to strengthen civil society organizations’ capacity and participation in multi-stakeholder dialogue for tackling socio-economic challenges and advancing sustainable and inclusive development in Ratanakiri province of Cambodia. The incumbents will present the related project issues and work in close collaboration with other project coordinators of BCV, other Civil Society Organizations and Government Officials ensuring successful project’s implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identification of participants for capacity building and organizing of field activities
  • Mobilizing stakeholders in participation of seminar logistics, handling ex post assessment questionnaires
  • Development, publication and circulation of a booklet on how to establish and manage a coordinated system of services
  • Participate in mapping and analysis of the service providers/infrastructure in the Ratanakiri Province
  • Contribution to the adaptation of the ILS LEDA methodologies to the local context and the 4 value chains.
  • Assist project coordinator in conducting evaluations through field missions, interviews and workshop with stakeholders target group and beneficiaries
  • Creation and regular update of the project page in the social media
  • Organize capacity building workshops on inclusive socio-economic development and value chain competitiveness and sustainability
  • Mapping and analysis of service providers and infrastructure in Ratanakiri Province for assessing strength and weaknesses
  • Assist in project monitoring and evaluation through regular reporting according to PCM tools as well as ad-hoc evaluation techniques produced under specific phases and associated to the diverse action domains.
  • Prepare report to project coordinator and and line management
  • Perform other tasks assigned by BCV line management and executive director
Requirements:
  • Requirement:
  • Bachelor degree in economic development, natural resources management, entrepreneurship, value chain, human rights, community development, public policy or a related subject
  • Minimum two-year work experience with NGOs in social development and advocacy
  • In-depth knowledge of economic development, value chain, agro-industry and community mobilization
  • Demonstrated experience in community mobilization
  • Demonstrated experience in Project implementation
  • Experience of preparing monitoring and designing budget, planning and reporting
  • Good team work and honest
  • Good oral and written communication skill both Khmer and English;
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.
  • Technical Competencies:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Non-Technical Competencies:
  • Growth mindset and passionate commitment to and understanding of BCV’s mission, vision, values
  • Interest to engage in the 4 value chains in agro-industry (trainings can be provided)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and coordinate activities
  • Excellent time management and bility to work effectively under deadline pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish effective and positive working relationships at all levels internally and externally
 
 

Finance and Admin Assistant (Re-Announcement )

Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • A Finance Assistant is a professional who is in charge of keeping track of an organization's finances. He/she enters data into databases, prepare financial statements, process invoices, and support other employees throughout any accounting processes.
  • Manage letter in and out.
  • Manage cash advance and settle advance
  • Assist to Prepare payment accounts/voucher
  • Assist in checking invoice, receipts, payment voucher, etc.
  • Assist in checking and verifying project expenditures to make sure that those expenses are accurately
  • Review or verify all financial transaction on a weekly basis
  • Produce monthly individual project report and budget variance
  • Maintaining document to meet internal & external audit requirements
  • Assist project team to prepare well the cash advance and settlement to meet BCV principles
  • Report to project coordinator
  • Other tasks assigned by project coordinator.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Bank and Finance, or relevant experience;
  • At least two-year relevant experiences; with preferably NGO sector
  • Knowledge of computer literacy, including:, Ms. Word, Excel, Power-Point, internet and email and knowledge of QuickBooks is more advantage.
  • Good knowledge of English and Khmer
  • Able to work as part of team and travel back and forth to head office.
  • Good interpersonal skills, time management and trustworthiness person
