Sovann Phoum (SP) is a Cambodian organization, established and registered by the Ministry of Interior in 2000, with a mission to ensure the vulnerable people, indigenous communities, women and children have equal access to high quality of effective clean water sanitation and hygiene practices, and economic opportunities through community development. SP is a non-government, non-religious, and non-profit organization.

With financial support from USAID for 3 years, SP has been implementing project, called, Cambodia Countering Trafficking-in-Persons through Economic Empowerment (CTIPE+), therefore, SP is looking for qualified Cambodian for the position based in target provinces as below.

  • Salary: $450 - $510
Duties
  • Be a representative of Sovann Phoum at provincial basis
  • Assess and validate communes of the vulnerabilities to TIP and identification of target households (ID poor under the target communes and villages)
  • Develop quarterly, monthly and weekly work plan of the project activities and budget plan
  • Work with youth volunteers, governments, NGOs partner, entrepreneur to ensure that they deliver project outputs and activities on time and effectively
  • Take a lead of provincial based project with managing administrative and financial task
  • Regularly follow up and monitor project activities in target areas to ensure that the planned activities and outputs are achieved on time, without wasting resources
  • Facilitate and arrange local authorities and communities to collect any data and information
  • Take responsibility for Collective Community-City Linked Business and Information Centers.
  • Work with youth volunteer to provide and coaching on expertise/skills to the Community-city Skill-Based Young Volunteers for social services and entrepreneurship
  • Work together with other technical project officers to improve shop and information canter, chick production farm at the responsible target
  • Work closely with technical project officers to improve the shop and business management
  • Work closely producer group to develop production delivery plans both direct selling and online purchase order by the customers
  • Record project shop and center information for good management for online selling and good transportation
  • Assess on available services for most at-risk and vulnerable people in target provinces
  • Form Self-help, saving groups/farmer associations
  • Form and function the animal/crop-cash transfer banks1 to attach with credit and saving groups
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly report, then submit to technical project officers
  • Regularly update database and statistics on target beneficiaries
  • Other task request by Senior Project Manager 1
Requirements
  • Degree in Agronomy, Veterinary, Rural Development, or other related field
  • General knowledge of business development, business, marketing, making business plan, livelihood counselling especially the livelihood project sector.
  • Mobilize saving group/association
  • Experiences of working with INGOs or NGOs related field
  • Be able to facilitate for meeting and training
  • Good coordination and communication especially with youth volunteers
  • (At least 2 years) work experiences in livelihood sectors and business
  • Experienced in working with saving group/associations
  • Experienced in working with youths, at ID poor 1 &2
  • Experienced in managing and leading many tasks with accountability and responsibility
  • Experiences in working with government and NGO partners
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (including mediation and conflict resolution)
  • Demonstration of high self-motivation, honesty and integrity, transparency, accountability and willingness to learn from others
  • Be patient in work performance
  • Knowledge of computer in MS office, namely Word, Excel, Internet and Email
  • Be able to report both Khmers and English
