Project Officer
Job Overview:
Care for Children is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic individual to join our new team in Siem Reap as we continue our project to further the development and success of Family based alternative care in Cambodia alongside the Department of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation in Siem Reap.
We are looking for a special individual with a range of skills and abilities to strengthen our team. As a Project officer your role will be varied. You will assist day-to-day finance and administration tasks of the project in Siem Reap and develop excellent working relationships with government staff at DoSVY.
You will also be required to support and assist our training officer as they deliver high quality training to government staff.
- Provide administration support for the day-to-day work of the Project in Siem Reap.
- Attend project meetings with our Cambodian partners and provide translation support where necessary.
- Assist with monitoring project expenditure.
- Assist with management of the Project Team’s bank account, petty cash, and staff expenses. o Assist with Care For Children’s tax responsibilities.
- Assist with the organisations’ registration and other legal matters o Purchase office supplies and stationery
- Assist with booking all training/workshop/events o Support Training Officer in training sessions.
- Check the translation of training documents to ensure they are suitable for use with Cambodian staff members.
- Arrange meetings and travel for the Project Team.
- Assist the Country Manager and other staff members with the completion of the daily tasks related to the project.
- Education:
- A university degree in a relevant field or a proven ability to work as part of a team at a high level.
- Professional Experience:
- Experience of working for a NGO or similar organisation
- Experience of providing finance and administration support
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with government officials or orphanage staff would be an advantage
- Knowledge in child protection, foster care and child welfare would be an advantage
- Languages and Skills:
- Language proficiency in written and oral in English
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent team player
- Administrative skills and computer literate.
