The Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation (CDPO) was established in 1994 as a movement of Cambodians with disability. CDPO is a membership based, non-government organisation, representing persons with disabilities in Cambodia. We are working towards becoming “The voice of persons with disabilities in Cambodia”. CDPO is now looking for qualified person for fulfils a position below:

Project Officer (1 Position)

Position Summary

Base in: Phnom Penh and province

Contract duration: 12 Months (Possible Renewal)

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Project Development
  • Developing and running disability training to stakeholders
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress
  • Conducting and analyzing simple surveys
  • Facilitating events, workshops and seminars
  • Project support
  • Conduct monthly monitoring of OPDs/WWDFs’ project implementation to ensure ​​​​project activities/budget of OPDs/WWDFs spend against the plan, and maintaining financial records;
  • Provide technical support to OPDs/WWDFs join actively in the ID poor selection process, and data of persons with disabilities​would be provided to local authorities for the ID poor registration process;
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, forums, or workshops, with stakeholders;
  • Develop project monthly report
  • HR Management
  • Conducting performance appraisals of staff
  • Inducting staff
  • Mediation and conflict resolution of staff
  • Conducting skills and capabilities assessments of staff
  • Motivating, monitoring and evaluating performance of staff
  • Budgeting to Assist Project Coordinator and Program Manager in:
  • Developing budgets for national operational plans
  • Maintaining financial records
  • Planning and Administration to Assist Project Coordinator and Program Manager in:
  • Compiling program reports
  • Measuring and reporting on project impact
  • Developing national operational plans
  • Maintaining/filing records
  • Maintaining and updating membership database
  • Other tasks as required
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Person Specifications:
  • University degree or equivalent in management or development studies
  • Three years working experiences in the development/NGO sector in Cambodia
  • At least one year experiences working with community development or self-help group in the remote area
  • Experiences working with Commune Council, local authorities, rural NGOs, public service providers, Pagodas,
  • Knowledge of the rights based approach to development
  • Commitment to and knowledge of disability rights and issues in Cambodia
  • Experiences of or training in managing projects and programs, including monitoring and evaluation
  • Facilitation, training and coaching skills
  • Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation skills
  • Communication skills, including fluency in English and Khmer
  • Knowledge of fundraising and proposal writing
  • Networking skills
  • Mobile, able to regularly travel within Cambodia by himself/herself
