iDE has been active in Cambodia since 1994 with a focus on agriculture, climate and resilience, food security and nutrition, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). iDE Cambodia supports entrepreneurs and social enterprises, while facilitating the inclusive and resilient development of value chains and business models for affordable products and services in our target sectors. We have also introduced successful research and pilots on clean cookstoves and solid waste management, with a focus on plastic waste recycling and circularity. With a market driven approach, iDE Cambodia has reached about 1.2 million households, approximately 6 million people.

Position Summary

DIVISION, PROJECT: SHE Program

REPORTING: SHE Head of Impact

LOCATION: Based in Phnom Penh with regular travel to the provinces where iDE operates in Cambodia

BENEFITS

PURPOSE

The SHE Project Coordinator will be responsible for the effective management of business incubator programs, program resourcing, budget management, partner communication and relationship management to ensure that our programs are powering women entrepreneurs to improve to have a positive social, economic and environmental impact for themselves and their communities.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Reporting, collaboration, and supervision relationships may change over time with the addition or departure of staff or changes in organizational structure.

  • Reports directly to the SHE Head of Impact
  • Works closely with Facilitators based on project resourcing.
  • Liaises with SHE contractors and mentors.
  • Coordinates with other stakeholders as deemed necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope and emphasis of the position responsibilities may change over time: new responsibilities may be added and existing ones dropped or modified as required.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Project Management
  • Support the Head of Impact by contributing to strategic decision-making related to the design of SHE programs.
  • Develop the work plan for each project and delegate tasks effectively within and across teams and track progress to reach expected project outcomes.
  • Oversee the recruitment of participants based on the selection criteria of each project.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure programs are implemented to a high quality so that program participants and partners/clients are satisfied with the quality of programs implemented.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, ensuring that team members have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the budget framework.
  • Working with the Finance Team to prepare financial reports for partners as required, and work on budget modifications as needed.
  • Write high-quality milestone reports, project reports & evaluation reports 
  • Ensure programs are creating high levels of impact for entrepreneurs and communities by ensuring that sufficient data is collected and analyzed based on the indicators of each project.
  • Work with the Project & Impact Measurement Coordinator to conduct end-of-project reflections
  • Uphold regular and effective communication with partners to share the impact of project activities.
  • Team Management, Representation and Policy Compliance
  • Implement all necessary policies and processes to ensure that correct procedures are followed by the project team.
  • Ensure strong SHE representation to local stakeholders including government, donors and businesses.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project outcomes.
  • KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Projects are effectively managed and high-quality reports are produced, highlighting the impact made by each project (milestone report, contract management, financial management, final report, and evaluation report) following the financial and technical constraints of the project.
  • Strong relationships are built through clear communication with participants and partners (both internal and external).
  • Team management and problem solving is effective with positive feedback from peers and project partners.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
  • Graduated from university with a degree in agriculture, international studies, or any other related disciplines - generalists welcome;
  • Minimum three years’ experience in project management, budget management, MERL and reporting, ideally within the development sector - private and public sector experience welcome; and
  • Essential skills and experiences include:
  • Strong coordination experience, including internal and external team coordination;
  • Familiar with donor-funded and government-supported development initiatives;
  • Comfortable and capable working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures; and
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong English and Khmer language skills, both written and spoken.
