Project Coordinator
Role Purpose
This project aims to reduce violence against children by improving accessibility of positive parenting (PP) information, enhancing knowledge, attitude and practices amongst parents and caregivers, and increasing demand on the newly created PP content.
The role of the project coordinator is to work closely with the ANCP (Australian NGO Cooperation Program) Project team, Child Protection (CP) and Child Right Governance (CRG) Program Manager, and budget holder to support them on the project implementation, ensuring that planned outputs are delivered within the available time and resources, producing satisfactory outcomes to project beneficiaries in compliance with SCI’s and donor’s requirements and regulations.
The post holder will play a critical role in managing partner activity, financial resources, and project execution while also assisting with the identification and implementation of innovative solutions using social and behavioral science to promote the positive parenting and early childhood development.
The project coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the project management, ensuring its successful implementation and achievement of its objectives.
Contract length: Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC).
- Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field such as project management, finance, international development, or a related field.
- Essential
- Basic knowledge of child rights and child protection is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the development sector.
- Related experience working with NGOs, especially regarding early childhood development, parenting without violence/positive parenting, or social and behavioral change communication in any sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of and knowledge in positive parenting principles, early childhood development and/or social behavioural science
- Strong teamwork spirit, Be open, humble and good listener to share and work with cross-cultural team; Sense of humor.
- High willingness to work in the field
- Good interpersonal skills and proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
