The Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) is a leading membership organization for local and foreign NGOs in Cambodia with nearly 200 members in various development sectors. CCC has actively worked over three decades as an enabling agent to facilitate CSOSs to have a collective effort, institutional governance and accountable actions for the democratic and sustainable development in Cambodia.

The CCC is currently implementing its fifth phase Governance Hub (GHP 2024-2028). GHP has a vision: sustainable and democratic development in Cambodia, and three main outcomes: 1) Partnership and collaboration for advocacy and monitoring amongst different actors at the national and sub-national levels is improved; 2) Voice and representative of CSOS networks are strengthened; and 3) CSOS resources hub at the national and sub-national levels is functional and responded to the needs of Civil Society Organizations. CCC is now seeking the qualified candidate for the position(s) as below:

Project Assistant

Position Summary

Duty Station : Phnom Penh (with occasional field travel)

Report to : Executive Director

Contract length : 1 year, renewable subject to effective performance and fund availability

Position Summary:

The Project Assistant will play a vital role in the planning and execution of the Learning Forum, workshop and conference. This position involves coordinating logistics, managing communications, and ensuring seamless collaboration among stakeholders. Key duties include:

  • Delivering administrative services and functional support to project teams and the broader organization.
  • Managing the collection, distribution, and posting of mail and correspondence.
  • Coordinating logistics for meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Procuring office supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials for the events.
  • Overseeing and maintaining all reference documents for the development of project reports upon project completion.
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Coordination: 50%
  • Support meeting arrangements through the project calendar.
  • Assist in preparing meeting logistics and ensure necessary materials are available.
  • Take minutes during meetings and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Aid in the planning and implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Provide support for other project arrangements as needed.
  • Communication: 30%
  • Communicate effectively via email and phone with the director, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to promote the conference event.
  • Financial Administration: 20%
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses to ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line supervisor.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the NGO sector is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in advocacy, project planning, and implementation.
  • Experience in conducting and facilitating multi-stakeholder forums, training sessions, and workshops involving diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in conflict resolution is a plus.
  • Language Requirements:
  • Good in English and Khmer
