SHARE (Services for the Health in Asian and African Regions) is a Japanese NGO envisioning people the world can live with a healthy life both in mind and body through Primary Health Care approach. SHARE’s history began rural communities in Cambodia in 1988. From July 2017, SHARE opened office in Preah Vihear province child health promotion project. SHARE started “Community based child nutrition project” from April 2023 in the province, aims to improve under five years old children’s nutritional condition. SHARE is looking for Program Officer and potential to deliver a great contribution to the communities and strengthen organization in the future.

Position Summary

Location: Preah Vihear province (Often travel to Chey Saen, Chheb, Sankhum Thmei, Kulen district).

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Support Program Manager to ensure the project operation
  • Effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project
  • Assess and build effective networks to develop communities through monitoring and facilitate relevant meetings and workshops up to district level
  • Develop programs/agendas of workshop and training together with counterparts
  • Organize activity report to Program Manager to be able to report to relevant stakeholder, HQ and donors
  • Assist counterparts to be able to initiate child health promotion activities
  • Supervise Program Assistant to be able to complete their roles and duties
  • Supervise activity operating budget, monitor and verify expenditures
  • Participate and contribute organizational development and operation with senior staff.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working in NGOs and/or in rural communities
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Cambodian health sector, health policies and Cambodian local community system
  • Working experience with Provincial Health Department (PHD), Health Center (HC), Village Health Support Group (VHSG), District/Commune Women Child Committee (D/CWCC)
  • Experience of data collection, structured interview and analysis is advantage
  • Skills
  • Logical communication and interpersonal skills including advanced English in both writing and speaking (Office common language is English)
  • Strong communication skills in Khmer to communicate with local authorities and provincial level
  • Advanced computer (Microsoft office excel, word, PowerPoint, email) skills including accessing databases, spreadsheet knowledge and coding

  • Less than 40 years old is eligible for applying
  • Flexible, open-minded, creative and able to work under intensive schedules and circumstances
  • Honest, polite, responsible and reliable
  • Self-learner, strong discipline and team work
  • Strong commitment to work in rural areas of Preah Vihear province
  • Self-driving to activity sites and overnight stay is required
