ABOUT YOU
You will be an experienced project or program manager, with monitoring and evaluation skills. You will have experience in health program development and health system strengthening. You will also experience with capacity building partners, as well as experienced with sub-grant management. Additionally, you will be a people person, and have strong interpersonal and intercultural sensitivity skills. Finally, you will have strong English competency.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Program Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the strategic planning, design, and implementation of relevant program/project in alignment with the government and The Foundation’s strategic plan, policies, and regulations.
- Leadership, management, and program oversight:
- Support the country team to develop country strategies, programs, and other related policies.
- Support the implementation of country strategies, programs, and policies to ensure effective and efficient outcomes.
- Provide effective leadership and oversight on program implementation to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Provide effective coordination of program/project in alignment with the government and organizational strategic plan, policies, and regulation.
- Coordinate development of program/project budget and work plan.
- Engage with the headquarters, Cluster, country support team, and country team to support program/project implementation.
- Proactively identify and manage strategic program operational risks.
- Financial and Resource management
- Develop and manage annual program budget effectively.
- Support the implementing partners to develop monthly, quarterly, and annual budget plan.
- Actively track and report the program/project expenditure to ensure effective and efficient program/project implementation.
- Support the Finance & Operations team to ensure effective, efficient, and transparent program/project financial performance.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Program Quality
- Strengthen the implementation of the Continuous and Cataract Quality Improvement (CQI) approach, and program quality, and promote the adoption of quality standards and guidelines.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of program/project implementation.
- Collect, document, and share good practices and lessons learnt across partners and The Foundation teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality Program reports and quality completion of M&E processes.
- Contributes to external consultant(s), and stakeholders for project assessment, evaluation, and case study.
- Shares examples of good practices and case studies from the program implementation with the wider organization.
- Partnership and Representation
- Strengthens partnership with program stakeholders to identify opportunities to build and grow relationships.
- Contributes to external relationships with officials from multilateral and bilateral agencies, government agencies, blindness prevention agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in program/project management.
- Proven experience in facilitation of major events, workshop, seminar, training etc.
- Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
- Proven experience in building relationship and good communication with national and sub-national government partners and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in across culture working environment.
- Experience in continuous quality improvement (CQI) program management.
- Health Program management.
