Program Coordinator

Position Summary

HBF Cambodia office is seeking a dynamic local candidate to fill the position asf Program Coordinator for its Resource Governance Program (PCRG). The PCRG reports directly to the HBF Cambodia Country Director and is responsible for overall program implementation and monitoring ensuring consistency with HBF’s strategy and goals in Cambodia. This includes the development, management, and evaluation of projects and activities related to environmental protection, natural resource management and climate change.

Contract duration: 12 months contract and renewable.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the Natural Resource and the Climate Change programs of the HBF Cambodia and liaising closely with partner organizations and relevant stakeholders in the sector.
  • Supporting the strategic and financial planning as well as program development of HBF Cambodia’s work on environmental and climate protection
  • Managing the partner portfolio of the Resource Governance Program including related budgets Managing the implementation of participatory monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems
  • Representing HBF Cambodia in strategic networking and relationship building with NGOs, government organisations, private sector and community groups
  • Developing concepts for public events and activities related to resource governance, environmental protection and climate change
  • Providing analysis, expert advice and oversight to HBF-funded research on resource governance, climate change and related topics
  • Promoting the integration of gender related aspects in the Resource Governance Program projects and activities.
  • Carrying out any tasks related to the role as assigned by the Country Director.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • University degree in development, environmental or political science and five years of relevant work experience Proven experience in project design and management preferably in the field of development cooperation
  • Experience in working with local, national and international NGOs, local and central government, as well as indigenous people and communities at a grass roots level
  • Proven knowledge of natural resource governance topics as well as climate change and environmental protection
  • Preferably experience in advocacy at national and international levels Familiarity with current social justice and gender issues in Cambodia Experience in public relations, digital media platforms is an asset
  • Strong interest in topics relevant to the Green movement worldwide Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Exceptional verbal and communication abilities Fluent written and spoken English.
