Primary School Teachers (four Khmer and two native English speakers).
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
- Implement the curriculum and testing procedures.
- Prepare lesson plans for classes and develop teaching and learning materials
- Teach the classes using realia that relates to the lesson
- Prepare tests and conduct students’ assessments
- Produce progress reports for the school principal and parents.
- Take part in team meetings and/or individual training.
- Assist in other tasks to support the ongoing educational activities within the school.
- Monitoring of students’ welfare and pastoral care.
- Must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education. A university degree, in addition to a Celta, PGCE or equivalent.
- Knowledge in Khmer Primary School curriculum would be advantageous for Khmer teachers.
- Have knowledge in Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) approaches or Project Based Learning approach would be preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Khmer (for Khmer teachers).
- At least 2 years’ experience teaching.
- Proficient use of computers and technology.
- Passion and love for Buddhism.
- Hold and carry the 5 precepts.
- An open-mind and willingness to learn.
- Willingness to work hard and commitment to our school.
