Position Summary

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • People & Culture – 50%
  • 1. People Engagement Strategy: 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, focusing on people as the driving force behind Impact Hub Phnom Penh’s success.
  • Promote shared governance practices, ensuring employees have a voice in decision-making processes that impact their work.
  • 2. Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Work with the Heads of Departments to identify HR needs and develop creative hiring campaigns to attract top talents.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection, while ensuring each candidate has a great experience interacting with us. 
  • Create experimental spaces for piloting new HR practices, such as participatory recruitment panels or peer-led reviews.
  • Create and execute an engaging onboarding program to ensure smooth transitions for new team members so they feel welcome immediately and understand our values and way of working well.
  • 3. Performance Management:
  • Implement and manage the annual review process with the support of each Head of Department, ensuring clear and constructive feedback based on our Impact Hub’s competency framework.
  • Support Managers in developing career development pathways for their team members. 
  • Contribute to building a database of learning opportunities related to the key competencies within Impact Hub. 
  • Host moments to celebrate collective achievements, and appreciate team dedication.
  • 4. Employee Engagement and Well-being:
  • Design initiatives to improve team members’ engagement and understanding of broader Impact Hub’s values in their role. 
  • Facilitate open and inclusive dialogues with employees to co-design solutions for challenges and opportunities.
  • Encourage team autonomy by providing resources, guidance, and a supportive environment for initiative-taking.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR practices.
  • Implement well-being activities to support team members’ mental and physical health.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and learning by co-creating policies and initiatives with the team to ensure relevance and ownership.
  • Regularly evaluate and adapt HR practices to remain innovative and responsive to changing organizational needs. 
  • Enhance transparency by communicating HR policies, strategies, and organizational changes effectively and inclusively.
  • 5. Cross-Department Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Leverage collective intelligence to crowdsource ideas for improving work culture, well-being, and performance.
  • Join monthly sharing circles for team members in similar roles across departments to exchange best practices and enhance knowledge sharing.
  • Space Operations Management – 50%
  • 1. Space Design and Management:
  • Identify strategic partners to enhance the functionality and value of the new downstairs office space.
  • Co-design and lead the physical space’s transformation to reflect the stories and products of the entrepreneurs we support 
  • Oversee the Space Officer to ensure the workspace is always guest-ready and welcoming.
  • 2. Hosting and Community Engagement:
  • Ensure a caring and professional hosting experience for all visitors, tenants, and event participants.
  • Curate an inspiring series of events to engage the changemaker community.
  • Bring the Art of Hosting principles to create meaningful interactions and memorable experiences.
  • 3. Sustainable Sourcing and Environmental Monitoring:
  • Oversee sourcing of sustainable suppliers for all operational needs (from soap, furniture, catering, and other materials).
  • Oversee monitoring of CO2 emissions (Scope 2 and Scope 3) related to activities carried out through Impact Hub Phnom Penh.
  • Propose and implement measures to reduce CO2 emissions and improve the environmental sustainability of our space while getting the buy-in from team members.
  • 4. Revenue Generation and Sustainability:
  • Develop and execute (with the support of the Communication Manager) a communication strategy to promote space rental services effectively. 
  • Monitor and manage space-related revenue streams to ensure financial sustainability.
  • 5. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the logistics and maintenance of the space to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize processes and ensure alignment with the Impact Hub’s mission.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Experience
  • Minimum 6-7 years of professional experience – at least 4 years of management experience.Knowledge & Skills
  • Essential:
  • Passion for supporting people to grow and thrive 
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire trust and motivate teams while demonstrating genuine care for their well-being.
  • A doer mindset – with a naturally hospitable personality (you love people!)
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including team management,
  •  financial management, project design and implementation, reporting and analysis provide necessary supports to achieve the expected outcomes of the projects.
  • Excellent people management skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of individuals with maturity and tact.
  • Deep understanding of the Cambodian context.
  • Worked with or led cross-functional teams, and happy to get things done in a scrappy and hands-on way
  • Proven track record driving projects – effectively delivering impactful elements of projects in fast-moving environment.
  • Strong conceptual thinking to develop new strategies & innovative projects
  • Collaborative spirit, able to partner with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Sets high-level of ambition for the project and own work to achieve impact for the community. 
  • Fully committed and motivated to achieve the vision of Impact Hub Phnom Penh
  • Strong digital literacy skills: knows how to use Zoom, Google Drive and so on, comfortable/finds it easy learning new digital skills. 
  • Believe and recognize yourself in our values:

  • Previous experience in Community Building – able to mobilize and activate community, build strategic connections, and enjoy doing it!
  • Passion for interior design – know how to oversee the creation of spaces that are functional inspiring, while using as many sustainable materials as possible. 
  • Knowledge in operational space management (logistics/security/ IT) 
  • Familiar with the book “Re-Inventing Organisation” by Frederic Laloux
  • Coaching experience or understanding the fundamentals of coaching principles.

1st step: Get-to-know interview 

The first online or face-to-face interview will be at Impact Hub Phnom Penh Office. Expected Time: 30min


2nd Step: At-home assessment

If we enjoy the 1st discussion with you, we will send you will receive an assessment to complete, which relates to the role you will be doing. We will give you a case study to complete at home (with your own critical thinking process!). Expected Time to complete the assessment: Approximately 4 hours – on your own time.

 

3rd step: Presentation of assessment

Second face-to-face interview at Impact Hub Phnom Penh Office, where you will share a presentation of your assessment and the process of coming up with this result. Approximately 1 hour.

 

4th step: Result Announcement

You will expect to hear from us two weeks maximum after the 2nd face-to-face interview. (In case there is a change in the timeline above, we will inform you via email)…
