Pediatrics Team Lead (PTL)–PTL role provides special care for pediatric and newborn babies who are born normal, premature and/or sick. Premature babies have specific problems such as respiratory difficulties or nutritional needs that can be life threatening. Therefore; the PTL role will be playing a crucial part of leading the team to ensure that the right treatments, high quality of care for newborns are provided for promptly and appropriately. PTL team has an important role in supporting the parents of the baby at a time when they themselves are very anxious and stressed. Therefore, PTL Supervisor role will be directly responsible for leading and managing pediatric and newborn team members to provide special care to inpatient/outpatient newborns.
- The key responsibilities will include the following essential tasks including and not limited to:
- Medical Clinical Responsibilities:
- To ensure the provisioning of a comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care services to all newborns health including diagnoses conditions in the newborn after birth, including breathing problems, infections, birth defects and other conditions,
- To ensure an accurate and timely medical treatment to pediatric/newborn clients including examination and/or administering appropriate health condition including health assessment, monitoring, vaccination and to document service provision accordingly,
- Provide clinical support and decision making around unwell neonates who need to be retrieved and monitored for a higher level of care,
- Supervision to all pediatric and neonatal staffers, this can includes availability to attend high risk deliveries as needed, including deliveries of babies who are expected to need major resuscitation, and/or intensive care after births,
- Ensuring the administering of essential medical health care of the baby, using monitoring appropriate devices, administering medication,
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained on the utilization of medical equipment to patient with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, compliance with infection control policies,
- Completes patient and employee incident reports and related paperwork within 24 hours and communicating appropriately to relevance people including parents/guardians, and updating Orchid’s medical and management team,
- Ensures compliance with infection control policies,
- When on acute duty, away from the clinic, it requires to remain immediately contactable and available in person and/or an assigned medical professional within 1 hour time period, and to attend emergency caesarean as requested,
- Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
- Take the leading role in planning of staff work schedule, to ensure unit smooth operations including staff recruited, service trained, monitoring of service provision by staff, documenting, and reporting to Director of Medical Clinical as required,
- Administrative tasks such as preparation of neonatal clinical guidelines, protocols and informational materials for colleagues and parents,
- To contribute to the development of Information Education Communication (IEC) for marketing purpose via social media, serving as technical expert,
- To manage the clinical workload effectively, supporting team in ensuring care is prioritized appropriately,
- To assist in ensuring the safety of the unit, actively participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including reporting of critical incidents,
- To maintain effective links with the maternity unit, pediatric department, the multidisciplinary team and the neonatal network units,
- To provide training and support to staff leaning and development, conducting annual performance and provide relevant recommendation for improvement,
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

- Experienced Pediatrics/neonatal medical doctor specialized neonatal and/or neonatologist of newborn infants.

- Required Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge, learn approved software.

General Manager

General Manager is a key member of the Executive Management Team who will be responsible for (1) developing Operational strategies to support the business objectives, (2) leading and managing the operation team; and implementing the Operational policies such as HR, Admin, and IT to proactively support the Orchid’s business strategies and objectives; (3) participating in planning and developing workforce strategies to support the long term business sustainability; (4) participating in developing a high performance culture and ensure compensation strategies in place to motivate and retain key talents; (5) ensuring the employee relations system and legal compliance are in place, (6) work with other key managers/leaders to develop strategic marketing plans.
- Human Resource and Operational Strategies:
- Assis in developing /revising and implementing human resource management and operational growth strategies such as HR, Admin, IT and Marketing policies and procedures in line with the business needs to proactively impact and contribute to achievement of the company’s objectives.
- Lead and Manage the Operation Team:
- Oversee daily business operations.
- Ensure that the Operation team delivers their planned outcomes and their agreed targets (KPIs) are met in line with the operational plan.
- Monitor report and advice on the performance of functions for which the Operation teams are responsible. Build operation team’s capacity and strengthen competency and professional development.

- LEGAL RISKS
- Review and provide legal advice on legal documents.
- To assist in monitoring the management of ongoing and potential medico-legal and civil suit litigation matters.
- Liaise with relevant departments and personnel to ensure that, where legal risks have been identified, an appropriate course of action has been taken.
