The Peacebuilding Specialist, Asia provides technical leadership to strengthen the integration of peacebuilding approaches across multi-country programmes, specifically:
Technical Leadership on Peacebuilding Programme Implementation
Provides technical leadership for the implementation of the Safer Futures (SF) project in Asia, with a particular focus on strengthening peacebuilding capacity across partner organisations and project teams. The role leads the design and delivery of peacebuilding capacity-building initiatives, ensuring that partners are equipped to apply peacebuilding tools and approaches effectively within child protection programming.
Quality of Learning and Adaptive Practice
Responsible for ensuring the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of peacebuilding capacity-building efforts. This includes establishing learning, reflection, and feedback mechanisms to assess how peacebuilding approaches are understood, applied, and adapted over time. The role supports adaptive learning, ensuring that training content, technical guidance, and methodologies evolve in response to partner feedback, contextual change, and emerging learning.
Learning, Knowledge Sharing, and Organisational Contribution
The role leads the documentation and synthesis of learning generated through peacebuilding capacity-building initiatives, including the development of training and learning resources, case studies, and evidence of change. The Peacebuilding Specialist ensures that learning is systematically shared across the project consortium and within Cord, strengthening organisational learning and contributing to the coherence and quality of Cord’s peacebuilding practice.
Programme Development
Contributes technical peacebuilding expertise and practice-based learning to programme development, including concept notes, proposals, and programme design, in support of Cord’s Build Peace strategy.
