Operations Manager (1 Position)
World Monuments Fund (WMF) seeks a qualified professional for the role of Operations Manager to support our Cambodia projects. The individual is a key member of the local Cambodia team, supporting all accounting and operational efforts to advance the organization’s mission in Cambodia.
Reporting to the Cambodia Country Director, the Operations Manager works closely with all members of the local Cambodia team, based in Siem Reap, supporting operational and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be a flexible, positive, pro-active individual with excellent organizational and communication skills and operate at the highest level of ethical standards.
- Accounting
- Pay salary to WMF staff (~74 people)
- Payment of office rent, electricity, telephone and other office management expenses
- Pay NSSF monthly
- Prepare and submit tax invoices monthly and year, yearly financial report and ACAR report
- Pay expenses for conservation materials and equipment for all sites, based on the submission of a purchase order from the site
- Manage and prepare all payment requests to WMF HQ
- File all receipts and invoices for all project expenses
- Compile monthly actual expenses reports
- Keep track of all expenses for all sites
- Prepare separate actual expenses reports for each site with break down of costs for all sub-projects
- Compile and update actual expenses chart for total project monthly and submit to HQ
- Submit project accounting records of actual expenses to HQ monthly
- Handle all bank affairs in close cooperation with the Country Director
- Prepare projections of future expenses in partnership with Country Director, as needed
- Administration
- Administration of all office related matters
- Define duties for house staff and manage their working hours and leave
- Ensure proper performance of all office equipment (computers, internet, telephone, printers), in cooperation with WMF’s IT professional
- Manage office and household facilities
- Ensure visiting guest facilities are maintained
- Keep inventory of office equipment and stock of stationary
- Oversight of rolling stock operations and maintenance (all trucks)
- Prepare workers contracts in collaboration with the management
- Facilitate and follow up all project related correspondence
- Organize and file all written correspondence
- Procure staff and visitor site passes
- Handle national and international incoming shipments to WMF office
- Worksite
- Twice-monthly payroll distribution at the worksite
- Organize and attend a once weekly 60-minute site visit with the WMF Cambodia management team (Country Director, Project Coordinator, Engineer, Site Supervisor)
- Review and input on the monthly work site reports
- Review and input on the quarterly report drafts
- Other tasks
- Participate in negotiations with WMF Workers’ Union and the Collective Bargaining Agreement, prepare talking points and update figures as needed
- Work alongside the Dept. Labor and Vocational Training in Siem Reap as deemed necessary
- Assist entire WMF team regarding financial matters as needed
- Assist in preparing budgets and actual expenses balances
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 8 to 10 years proven experience as accountant / financial manager in an international NGOs setting with advanced knowledge of accounting operating procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of cyber security.
- Organized and tidy, proactive, transparent, accountable.
- Native Khmer speaker, advanced English.
- Interest for heritage preservation is a plus.
