We are seeking a highly committed and hands-on Operational Manager who is not only experienced in professional management but who also has the passion and determination to go the extra mile.
This role requires a leader who takes initiative, accepts responsibility, and is fully involved in the day-to-day reality of the organization. The Operational Manager must be comfortable making decisions, addressing challenges directly, and engaging in healthy, constructive conflict when necessary, always in the best interest of the children and the organization.
The role goes beyond operational oversight: it requires active presence on the ground, close collaboration with teachers and caregivers, and genuine involvement in the children’s education and daily well-being, both inside and outside the classroom.
A background in psychology, child development, or strong experience working with children facing emotional or behavioral challenges is a significant advantage.

- Oversee and coordinate all daily operational activities of the organization
- Ensure smooth functioning of education, care, and support programs
- Develop, implement, and consistently enforce operational policies and procedures
- Manage staff performance, schedules, accountability, and workflows
- Be present on-site and actively involved in problem-solving and decision-making
- Support teachers and caregivers in maintaining structure, discipline, and consistency
- Address operational and human challenges directly, calmly, and constructively
- Coordinate logistics, procurement, and responsible resource management
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, agreements, and donor requirements
- Prepare clear operational reports and contribute to management decisions
- Work closely with leadership to improve efficiency, structure, and long-term impact
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Development Studies, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in operations or management (NGO or education sector experience is a strong advantage) for 2 years as a minimum
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and practical common sense
- Comfortable handling responsibility, pressure, and complex situations
- Ability to manage people with firmness, fairness, and empathy
- Experience or strong interest in child development, psychology, or behavior management is highly valued
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools
- Local or Cambodian nationality preferred
