Newrest Catering (Cambodia) is looking for a QHSE Nutritionist & QHSE Officer (50%) who will oversee the nutritionist program, food safety and health and safety aspects of one facility managed by the company.

As such, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the nutritional rules expressed by the customer. In addition, you will be responsible for the operational controls arising from Newrest's policy on quality, health, safety and the environment, in order to guarantee compliance with these standards in accordance with the commitments and standards in force.

You are hierarchically attached to the QHSE Director.

Position Summary

Reports to: QHSE Country Manager

Based at: Newrest Catering (Cambodia) Co., Ltd

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Nutritionist
  • Inspect food before serving it to patients.
  • Develop meal plans for patients undergoing diet therapy.
  • Create appropriate menus for patients based on their dietary needs.
  • Verify the ingredients of patients' meals.
  • Collect information about patients' dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Consult on conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
  • Determine whether the patient is admitted as an inpatient (IPD) or outpatient (OPD).
  • Adhere to Joint Commission International (JCI) workflow standards.
  • Conduct audits of kitchen, bedroom, milk room, and cleaning activities.
  • Establish dietetic and nutritional education programs at various customer locations.
  • Provide technical and culinary support in nutrition and health.
  • Develop cost-effective menus while ensuring nutritional quality.
  • Maintain nutritional and allergenic data for food items in the database.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints related to dietetics.
  • Deliver training and information on nutrition to the staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health regulations and international standards for new product development.
  • Offer nutritional guidance and promote healthy eating through newsletters and online discussions.
  • Monitor food testing processes.
  • Q.H.S.E. referent
  • Carrying out QHSE inspections in accordance with the schedule of visits validated by the QHSE Director and making the Gemba Walk, ensuring continuous improvement, being a leader and a driving force for proposals on the SMI of this activity.
  • Participate in the Group's various QHSE missions as required or problematic, in hygiene monitoring, microbiological surface controls and metrology.
  • Participate in the implementation of corrective actions in case of non-conformity and monitor their effectiveness,
  • Ensure the conformity of menus during inspections,
  • Verify and validate the traceability of production,
  • Work with the QHSE Manager to investigate all accidents, incidents and food complaints and prepare an action plan,
  • Ensure the proper application of the Quality/Hygiene/Security/Environment provisions defined by Newrest,
  • Apply the HACCP approach,
  • Carry out operational safety inspections.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum degree in nutrition/dietetics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • Required skill(s): Interpersonal skills, computer skills.
  • Analytical skills, determination and commitment to achieving the company's predefined objectives.
  • Develop and propose innovative ideas for the company
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • The tasks described above are likely to evolve and be modified according to operational needs and regulatory changes.
  • Work Related Circumstances
  • Flexible and able and willing to work extra hours and weekends, public holidays and evenings when required to meet seasonal, event and visitor demands. Living within reasonable travelling distance to the office in Phnom Penh.
  • Physical/Health Requirements
  • Must be able to access all sites, including remote sites in Cambodia.
