Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
Organization: Chandara Students Home (CSH) by Toutes a l’Ecole Luxembourg (NGO)
Workplace: Happy Chandara School (Prek Thmey, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh)
Type of Contract: Local Contract
Attachment: Directors of Boarding Home
Working hours: 40h / week (evenings and weekends)
With the objective of providing health care and mediation to boarding students, the Nurse is a live-in/onsite position in charge of:
- Health Care and mediation
- In direct collaboration with the school's medical team
- Provide first aid and medical mediation
- In case of emergency, define the course of action (onsite treatment or transfer to medical facility)
- Oversee the administration of medical treatments
- Oversee the medical follow-up of students with chronic disease
- Be responsible for the medical supply onsite (inventory, safe storage, etc
- Establish and maintain a clean and safe space for treatment
- Organize workshops and awareness raising sessions on health-related subjects
- In addition to the medical missions, the Nurse will be part of the supervision team on a daily basis including:
- Participate to the supervision of beneficiaries’ entries and departures (daily/weekly)
- Provide guidance for daily life in community with focus on health (hygiene, self-check, etc)
- Monitor the respect of rules and apply sanctions when necessary
- Monitor the usage of electronic devices (computers, phones, TV)
- Participate to the organisation of the community daily life
- And any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Required profile
- Training and 2-3 years of experience
- Previous experience or interest in NGO or education is preferred
- Female profile is encouraged to apply
