Main Job Duties
Bayon Education & Development (BED) is strengthening its health, safeguarding, and well-being systems for both staff and students across its education and vocational training programs.
As part of this effort, BED is reinforcing its occupational health and student health services by establishing a Nurse position working in close coordination with a referent Occupational Doctor. This role contributes directly to student protection, staff well-being, and the organization’s duty of care.
The Occupational Health Nurse provides day-to-day health care services, first aid, prevention activities, and health coordination for BED staff and students.
Working under the direct supervision of the referent Occupational Doctor, the Nurse manages infirmary services across BED sites, supports health check-ups, coordinates hospital referrals, and ensures follow-up for medical, dental, optical, and hygiene-related issues.
- Occupational Health & Primary Care
- (Staff and students – Pastry School & Agroecology School)
- Provide immediate primary health care and first aid to staff and students.
- Administer medicines strictly according to prescriptions issued by the referent doctor.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and document observations for medical follow-up.
- Identify warning signs and refer cases requiring further medical attention.
- Provide basic health education and advice to patients (nutrition, hygiene, reproductive health, maternal and child health, etc.), within scope and under medical guidance.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all medical information.
- Infirmary Management
- Ensure daily presence and health monitoring at the primary school in the morning; continue support at headquarters and agroecology school as required.
- Manage infirmaries across BED sites and ensure adequate stock of medicines, first-aid materials, and hygiene supplies.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate urgent care.
- Maintain detailed medical records for all patients receiving treatment or first aid.
- Prepare recommendations to management for cases requiring hospitalization or specialized care.
- Health Check-up Coordination
- Organize and support regular health check-ups in coordination with the referent doctor.
- Record, manage, and analyze health data from check-ups.
- Ensure follow-up on medical recommendations.
- Coordinate family visits for health investigations when necessary.
- Hospitalization & Medical Referrals
- Organize and accompany staff or students to partner clinics or hospitals when needed.
- Inform and coordinate with families regarding student health issues.
- Maintain records of hospitalizations and treatments and ensure proper follow-up.
- Coordinate and verify medical-related cash disbursements and reimbursements with hospitals and the accounting team.
- Dental Care Coordination
- Maintain and update records of students requiring dental care.
- Coordinate dental visits with partner clinics.
- Track treatments, follow-ups, and related costs.
- Manage and verify payments and reimbursements related to dental services.
- Optical / Eye Care Coordination
- Maintain records of students with optical or eye health needs.
- Coordinate consultations with specialist partners.
- Organize transportation and follow-up for optical care.
- Hygiene Promotion & Prevention
- Plan, request, and distribute hygiene kits and sanitary pads on a quarterly basis.
- Support supplier review and price quotation processes.
- Deliver hygiene awareness and prevention sessions to students.
- Monitor hygiene practices, identify at-risk students, and provide coaching.
- Support hygiene-related awareness activities involving families when needed.
- Administration & Management Support
- Compile and monitor health, dental, and optical indicators.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management.
- Support health education sessions (nutrition, puberty, well-being) in coordination with specialized NGOs or partners.
- Provide administrative and operational support related to health activities.
- Full-time Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC), with 3-month trial periods.

- English - Fluent
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized Cambodian training institution.
- Previous experience in field work, preferably in schools or community settings.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- English speaking skills are an asset.
- Fluency in English preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
