Plan International is seeking qualified candidate for the position of National Education and Policy Lead for the anticipated of ASEAN–UK Supporting the Advancement of Girls' Education (ASEAN SAGE) is the UK's flagship regional education programme in Southeast Asia, based in Cambodia. The contract will only proceed if we are awarded, expected starting from June 2026.

Position Summary

S/he will be responsible for providing senior-level technical expertise in education policy and system reform under the ASEAN–UK Supporting the Advancement of Girls’ Education (SAGE) Phase 2 programme. The post-holder applies deep sector knowledge to support ministries of education to design, test and institutionalise reforms, with a strong focus on foundational learning, inclusion and evidence-informed policy development.

(This position is based in Country-Cambodia)

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in (or equivalent professional experience) in Education, Education Policy or a related field.
Work History:
  • At least progressively senior professional experience in the education sector within Cambodia, Lao PDR or Timor-Leste for 10 years
