Announcement Description

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has received a Loan amounting US$36.3 million from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to finance the “Accelerating Inclusive Markets for Smallholders Project (AIMS)” under IFAD Loan No. 20000001751. Total funds for the Project has already reached US$61.6 million, after the inclusion of counterpart contribution from the RGC, the private sector, and the beneficiaries.

The Letter of Agreement signed between Accelerating Inclusive Market for Smallholders (AIMS), Project Management Office (PMO) of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) on the implementation of Promote Farmer Investment on Cassava Value Chain including Extension and Market. Accordingly, GDA is now seeking to recruit the following consultants to support implementation of GDA team under this service:

Duration: 60 Working Days (30 working days for year 2021 and 30 working days for year 2022)

The National Cassava Specialist are responsible to support cassava cluster groups at village, commune, and district level. They will report to manager on technical related issues. They are responsible for promoting cluster members to increase profits by introducing the cassava production packages. They will be the direct contact with clusters and local authorities on day-to-day basis.

Requirements
  • The Cassava Specialist shall have the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in the field of economics, agri-business, or agricultural economics
  • At least 5 years’ s work experiences in research/data collection and economic analysis
  • At least 5 years’ work experiences in the field of agriculture, rural development or related field
  • Good knowledges of the crop sub-sector in Cambodia
  • Experiences working in multi-disciplinary team
  • General computer literacy especially on Windows and MS Office;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Khmer and a working knowledge of English.

The National Marketing Specialist are responsible to support cassava cluster groups at village, Commune, and district level. They will report to manager on technical related issues. Requirements
  • The marketing specialist shall have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum Master’s degree in the field of economics, agri-business, or agricultural economics
  • At least 5 years’ s work experience in research/data collection and data analysis, related to market information and system
  • Good knowledge of the crops sub-sector in Cambodia
  • Good knowledge of extensive system on social media.
  • Knowledge of whole market system in neighbouring countries is a big plus
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary team
  • General computer literacy especially on Windows and MS Office;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Khmer and a working knowledge of English.
