Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Coordinator
The MEAL Coordinator in SP Cambodia is responsible for delivering technical support to uphold rigorous monitoring standards. This pivotal role ensures program success through quality data maintenance, informed decision-making support, and the cultivation of a culture of learning and improvement via effective monitoring and evaluation. The Coordinator additionally assists project teams in documenting and sharing insights from the design, monitoring, and evaluation processes, aiding project/program management in making informed choices.

Contract type: Fixed/Specified Duration
Duration: 1year (Renewable, subject to funding availability)

- Coordinate and supervise the needs assessments, baselines, evaluation, and any project relevant surveys for all projects.
- Assist Senior MEAL Coordinator with the analysis of data from needs assessments, baselines, evaluation, and any project relevant surveys.
- Develop monitoring tools, guidelines, and data tracking with support from the Senior MEAL Coordinator/MEAL Manager
- Assist the Senior MEAL Coordinator in reviewing and producing MER and government reports
- Assist the Project/Program staff in entering, managing and reviewing project data in databases
- Maintain and update monitoring database to ensure the data is accurate and punctually uploaded.
- Assist Project/Program Managers in collecting relevant information for writing monthly, quarterly, semester, and annual reports.
- Work closely with program teams to ensure that MEAL activities are integrated into program planning and implementation.
- Conduct field visit and data validation regularly to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data reported.
- Implement and facilitate accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaints systems, to ensure that program beneficiaries’ voices are heard and addressed.
- Assist in documenting lessons learned, best practices, and case studies to enhance organizational learning and knowledge sharing.
- Other tasks will be required by Senior MEAL Coordinator.
- Education / Experience Needed
- Commitment to Samaritan’s Purse vision, mission, value and policies.
- Degree or significant training in monitoring & evaluation, or program/project planning
- Understanding of M&E principles.
- At least 1-year experience in project design, monitoring & evaluation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in community development at the community level.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Access)
- Demonstrated competency in implementing assessments/evaluations, including designing assessment/evaluation methodology, data collection tools, and managing data collection in the field, and analyzing data.
- Previous experience in delivering training.
- Ability to work independently, but strong coordination with others.
- Good English communication skills, oral and written.
- Knowledge in Program Information Management System is preferred
