Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Poi Pet
Purpose of the position
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for supporting the coordination and progress tracking of programming implemented by Damnok Toek in Poi Pet , using DT’s M&E systems and tools for tracking technical progress of programming. The officer ensures the timely, coordinated and consolidated collection of monthly data and their communication to the Poi Pet programme management team and Damnok Toek’s M&E Lead.
The duty station for this position is Poi Pet.

- Assists the Poi Pet Program Manager in the implementation of the M&E work plan, system, tools and data management systems to track project progress
- Quality assurance of project unit databases, ensuring that databases are reviewed and – as necessary – corrected each month.
- Analysis of monthly data to identify data anomalies or variances that require further validation or investigation
- Contributes to monthly PCM meetings, preparing summary reports from data tracking and highlighting progress/variance for indicator targets and emerging trends indicated by data
- Supports the M&E Lead and Poi Pet Program Manager in the preparation of quarterly log frame reports, and program case studies, research and situation analysis
- Supports project Coordinators and Team Leaders in using M&E tools including accurately documenting, organizing and capturing data.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as information management, project management, and related subjects;
- 2 years of practical experience in M&E or similar role in the civil society sector
- Experience in data collection, analysis and synthesis and preparation of strategic information for decision makers
- Experience in working with project/programme logical frameworks
- Experience in writing reports and reviews, and developing case studies
- Familiarity with Child rights and Child Protection principles and practices
- Demonstrated understanding of the project cycle management
- Demonstrated knowledge of M&E methodology, and quality assurance
- Highly competent with Microsoft Excel and familiar with other software used to collect, analyze, and manage data for surveys, monitoring, evaluation, and research (e.g. KoBo)
- Fluency in written and spoken Khmer and competent in written and spoken English
