The Sous Chef Bakery is to lead and manage all bakery operations by ensuring high-quality production, consistent product standards, effective staff coordination, and full compliance with Smiling Gecko Cambodia’s operational, hygiene, and sustainability standards.
- Bakery Production & Quality Control
- Assist in planning and executing daily bakery production according to menus and demand.
- Ensure all baked goods meet SGC’s quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Oversee proper preparation of doughs, pastries, breads, and other baked items.

- Kitchen Operations & Hygiene

- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs during night shifts, including late arrivals and early departures, while ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints to maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Monitor guest arrivals, departures, and room occupancy to ensure accurate room status and smooth operations.
- Manage reservations by taking and confirming bookings via telephone, email, or online platforms.
