Principal job outlines:
Medical laboratory technician (MLT) works in the laboratory of the Khmema Clinic & Hospital under the responsibility of the laboratory manager. MLT will be able to perform routine clinical laboratory tests done in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology-serology and coagulation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The responsibilities of the MLT include:
- Sample reception, and handling
- Daily instrument maintenance and quality control
- Sample testing and sample transfer
- Production and dissimination of lab results
- Maintenance of accurate records and reporting of data
- Follow on stock of reagents and consummables of laboratory
- Knowledge of critical values, preanalytical, analytical and post analytical quality assurance.
- The level of analyses performed may range from point of care testing to complex testing, involving all major areas of the clinical laboratory. The MLT will have diverse functions in areas of pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes. In addition, the MLT will have responsibilities related to information processing, training and quality control within the laboratory.
- Holding a bachelor or associate degree in medical laboraty from a University
- Be able to work with flexible schedule
- Ability to work with team and to work under little supervision
- Ability to work with people with little knowledge
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Good in English
