Medical Detailing Officer (2 Positions)
JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Detailing Officer (MDO) will be based in Phnom Penh and under the direct supervision of the Medical Affairs Coordinator with the support of the National Sales Manager and Head of Department. The MDO plays a vital role in advancing Viya Health Cambodia social marketing activities for Medical Abortion (MA), Post-MA Family Planning, and other health areas which Viya Health Cambodia interventions by:
- Building mutually beneficial relationships with private sector providers included pharmacy through regular and consistent visits to identify and address the provider’s needs in delivering quality health services.
- Utilizing behavior change communications techniques to motivate providers to adopt desired behaviors, such as improved client counseling for identified health areas and products, improved offering of informed choice of birth spacing methods; improve provider knowledge of products and services; and motivate providers to perform to optimal productivity.

- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor Degree in Medicine, Certificate of Medical Assistant, bachelor’s degree in Nurse Midwifery, associate degree in midwifery, or certificate of secondary midwifery
- At least one (1) year experience in medical representative or behavior change communications and coaching
- Experience in supervising and providing family planning services is preferable.
- Strong reproductive and birth spacing knowledge and skills, specifically with long term methods
- Medical Detailing skills
- Good interpersonal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Planning, organization tasks
- Knowledgeable of the provincial, communes, villages roads, NGOs, and businesses
- Able to travel extensively and willing to stay in districts/ provinces
- Good in English writing and speaking is a plus
- MS Office and email.
