Initially established in 1996 as a project of International HIV/AIDS Alliance, KHANA has started operating as an NGO in 1997 and was officially registered as a local NGO in 2000. Since then, it has been operating as a linking organization (LO) of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance which is now known as the Frontline AIDS. KHANA is one of the leading non-governmental organizations in Cambodia that has made critical contributions to the national HIV response and other health and development related services to key, vulnerable and underserved populations in Cambodia. KHANA’s work has been made possible through financial supports from The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), The USAID through TB-LON, The L’Initiative, The Stop TB Partnership, and The Frontline AIDS.

Announcement Positions

Manager: Tuberculosis – Management Information System (TB-MIS)

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

S/he will manage on TB information system to demonstrate a high level of internal data consistency (COMMIT) and inter-operability of TB information with HMIS and hospital service program database in improving services. S/he will also be responsible for reviewing the current TB-MIS indicators, features, parameters into the TB-MIS database, new customizing, troubleshooting, and software connection to the server at the central level (CENAT). S/he will play a key role in liaising with CENAT and support them in the selection of best suited TB-MIS in Cambodia, including review the TB-MIS guideline, training curriculum, and procedure. S/he will oversee the design, customization, development, pilot, and implementation of TB-MIS application and other technology initiatives of the project. S/he will also be supporting the implementation and initialization and use of TB-MIS at CENAT and health facilities (OD and HC).

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Provide support to CENAT on technical management of TB-MIS system including customizing the system features according to NTP’s requirements, and inter-operability of TB information with other platforms (diagnostic connectivity system, HMIS, etc.)
  • Provide support the introduction and scale-up of the diagnostic connectivity system and to connect with TB-MIS.
  • Provide support with TB-MIS team to CENAT in updating the TB-MIS user’s guideline, training materials and curriculum for conducting the drilling down training of the utilization of TB-MIS at health facility level.
  • Monitor the implementation of planned activities through monthly progress, review meetings, and field trips.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Personal Skills
  • Knowledgeable in software programming (Java), database management MySQL, Hibernat.
  • Knowledgeable in web-based solutions HTML, JavaScript, JQuery.
  • Knowledgeable in application development frameworks JBoss, Seam, Maven.
  • Skills in management and coordination of HIV and TB related project
  • Ability to plan and organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks, and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Khmer/English, and the capacity to identify and develop opportunities with an organization-wide perspective
  • Selection Criteria
  • Master of Management Information System, or other related fields
  • At least 6 years’ experience in working on information management of HIV/TB project
  • At least 3 years’ project management experience is desirable
  • Skills in management and coordination
  • Ability to plan and organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Khmer/English, and the capacity to identify and develop opportunities with an organization-wide perspective
