Legal and Compliance Specialist
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
Salary: Negotiate base on work experience.
- Manage compliance and legal issues in Cambodia and work closely with management abroad;
- Ensure that business is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures, local law and regulations;
- In case of its violation, investigate the cases, call related parties for meeting, define the problem, solve the problem and report to management abroad;
- Go to court or relevant ministry, if necessary;
- Provide training to BAs about company policies and procedures, local law and regulations;
- Update knowledge on legal update related to the type of business to make sure that the business is legally compliant;
- Respond to compliant queries asked by CS team (Customer Service team);
- Draft, translate and review various types of documents such as company announcement, warning letter, contract with stakeholders and update complaint report;
- Work on requesting licenses from relevant ministries; and
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
- Bachelor/Master in Law;
- At least 3 years working in risk management or compliance role in international firm or experience in MLM (Multilevel Marketing) is a plus;
- Good understanding of principles of laws, basic laws and business laws such as consumer protection law, e-commerce law, good analytical and critical thinking skills;
- Attention to details and be able to recap/summarize case in order to report to management;
- Strong communication skill in Khmer and English (verbal and written);
- Have knowledge on Microsoft office, internet and email proficiency;
- Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, honest and reliable. Being a fast learner is a plus; and
- Be able to work under pressure and in international environment.
