Position Summary

Are you patient, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping every child thrive? We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a young student with additional needs in their daily school life.

This role requires someone who is not only experienced in working with children with special needs but also genuinely passionate about making a difference in a child’s life.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Start date: 7 August 2025
  • Report to: Teacher and Head of Primary
  • Local only
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Provide full-time, one-to-one support to the student throughout the school day.
  • Assist with academic learning, emotional regulation, and social integration.
  • Support the child in developing coping strategies to manage daily challenges.
  • Help with personal care and daily routines as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure consistent support and progress.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • You are calm, patient, and resilient, even in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience working with children with special needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, developmental delays) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of how to provide emotional and behavioural support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A nurturing and positive attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
