Early Years Teacher

Position Summary

The Early Years Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment for young children. The teacher will deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum, supporting children’s academic, social, emotional and physical development. The teacher will also contribute to the Early Years Learning Support Programme and support the delivery of Art and creative learning experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum.
  • Support children’s development through play-based and inquiry-led learning.
  • Foster communication, language, literacy and numeracy development.
  • Create a safe, caring and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Observe, assess and monitor children’s progress and development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Support children’s wellbeing, independence and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers, learning support staff and colleagues to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Participate actively in the school’s Early Years Learning Support Programme, identifying and supporting students who require additional academic, language, developmental or wellbeing support.
  • Deliver and support engaging Art lessons and creative learning experiences that promote imagination, self-expression and fine motor development.
  • Incorporate creative, artistic and hands-on learning experiences into classroom activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, assessments and student learning information.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.
  • Participate in school events, performances, parent meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute actively to wider school initiatives, educational visits and enrichment programmes.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Teaching qualification, certification or licence preferred.
  • Experience working in Early Years settings.
  • Knowledge of child development and early learning practices.
  • Understanding of inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs is desirable.
  • Experience delivering creative arts, play-based learning or learning support interventions is desirable.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
 
 

Computing and ICT Teacher

Position Summary

The Computing / ICT Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ digital literacy, computational thinking and technological skills. The teacher will prepare students to become confident, responsible and creative users of technology through the Cambridge curriculum while supporting the effective use of technology across the school.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver Computing and ICT lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Teach digital literacy, coding, online safety, digital citizenship and responsible technology use.
  • Develop students’ problem-solving, computational thinking and technological skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Prepare students for Cambridge assessments and examinations where applicable.
  • Support the integration of technology across the curriculum and assist colleagues in making effective use of educational technology.
  • Provide basic on-site technical support, guidance and training for staff as required.
  • Maintain computer equipment, digital resources and ICT facilities in collaboration with the ICT department.
  • Promote safe and responsible use of technology throughout the school.
  • Support coding clubs, competitions, enrichment activities and STEAM initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of students for competitions, innovation challenges and other local and international opportunities.
  • Contribute actively to school events, initiatives, educational visits and wider school programmes.

Guidance Counsellor

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

The Guidance Counsellor will support students’ wellbeing, personal development, safeguarding and future pathways. The role includes providing guidance to students, supporting safeguarding processes, promoting positive wellbeing and assisting secondary students with university and career preparation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Promote student wellbeing and positive mental health across the school.
  • Provide individual and group guidance sessions for students.
  • Support safeguarding procedures and work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Maintain appropriate safeguarding, wellbeing and student support records in accordance with school procedures.
  • Identify and support students who may require additional wellbeing, behavioural or pastoral interventions.
  • Deliver workshops related to wellbeing, personal development, online safety and life skills.
  • Support students with university, college and career exploration.
  • Assist students with applications, personal statements, interviews and future planning.
  • Support student transitions between phases of education, including Primary to Secondary and Secondary to Higher Education.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies when required.
  • Organise parent information sessions and workshops related to wellbeing, safeguarding and future pathways.
  • Support school events, transition programmes, student leadership initiatives and wider school activities.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive school culture.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education or a related field

  • Relevant counselling, wellbeing or safeguarding qualifications preferred.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experience in university guidance, careers counselling or student wellbeing support is desirable.
  • Experience working within an international school setting is desirable.
 
 

Science Teacher

The Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and practical Science lessons that inspire curiosity and scientific inquiry. The teacher will support students in developing scientific knowledge, investigative skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them through the Cambridge curriculum.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Promote scientific investigation, experimentation and critical thinking.
  • Ensure practical activities are conducted safely and in accordance with school procedures.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations where applicable.
  • Differentiate instruction to support varying learning needs.
  • Maintain Science resources and equipment effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate student progress with parents and guardians.
  • Support extracurricular clubs, competitions and enrichment activities.
  • Support the preparation of students for academic competitions and events such as ICIA, science fairs, innovation challenges and other local and international opportunities.
