The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, supervision, and well‑being of all pool users during swimming lessons, activities, and recreational use. The role focuses on accident prevention, emergency response, and maintaining a safe pool environment in accordance with school safeguarding and safety policies.
When the pool schedule allows, the postholder will assist PE lessons with supervision, basic organisation, and safety support, as directed by the PE teacher.
- Pool Safety & Supervision
- Maintain continuous and vigilant supervision of swimmers at all times
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations consistently
- Take immediate action to prevent unsafe behaviour
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including rescues and first aid

- Water Quality Monitoring
- Conduct routine pool water testing using provided test kits (e.g. chlorine, pH) according to the agreed schedule

- Ensure rescue equipment and safety tools are available and in good condition

The Operations Support & Driver plays a dual role in supporting both the school’s transportation needs and day‑to‑day administrative operations. This position is responsible for:
- Safely transporting staff, students and materials.
- Supporting the Admin Department with event setup, classroom preparation, stock counting, furniture movement, festive decoration, and other duties assigned by the line manager.
The role requires reliability, attention to safety, physical readiness, and a collaborative attitude.
- Administration Support
- Set up rooms, halls, and outdoor areas for school events, assemblies, parent meetings, and activities.
