GOMI Recycle is an environmental company combining Japanese technology and Cambodian passion to build a new model of the circular economy.

We are not just a recycling company.

Our mission is to transform waste into valuable resources and build a next-generation circular economy system in Cambodia and beyond.

Plastic waste collected by our team is transformed into useful products such as:

  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Benches　
  • Urban furniture

These products are used in schools, communities, and public spaces.

But our vision goes much further.

We are also working on technologies and systems to recover resources from many types of waste, including:

  • Glass　
  • Metals
  • Food Waste
  • Other recyclable materials

By combining Japanese engineering, local innovation, and real-world field experience, we are building recycling solutions designed not only for Cambodia but for many countries across the Global South.

This project has the potential to grow beyond Cambodia and expand internationally.

Work Directly with the Founder

GOMI Recycle is led by Yusuke Okumura, president of a Japanese recycling company with more than 70 years of history.

He has developed environmental projects involving:

  • International partnerships

  • Circular economy innovation

Working closely with him provides rare learning opportunities and real business experience for young professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • Create and design visual content (posters, infographics, awareness materials) using graphic design or illustration tools
  • Share environmental stories and project updates
  • Support environmental education activities with schools and companies
  • Assist in organizing events, workshops, and outreach programs
  • Prepare simple reports and presentations on recycling impact
  • Communicate with partners and collaborators

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Fluent is required

  • English proficiency is a must
