The Accountant is responsible for performing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting. The position ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, supporting compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Job Scope/ Decision Making Authorities

The Accountant Coordinator works within the Finance Department to ensure the smooth operation of all accounting activities and supports compliance and reporting obligations.

  • Functional Scope: General ledger maintenance, reporting, reconciliation, tax filing, and coordination of accounting activities.
  • Operational Area: School-wide finance transactions including multiple campuses or branches, if applicable.

The role also plays a vital part in supporting internal departments with timely access to supplies and maintaining stock integrity.

KPI Review Timeline

  • Weekly: Stock reports, damaged/expired goods, reorder alerts
  • Monthly: Physical count reconciliation, usage trends
  • Quarterly: Inventory audit support, aging stock analysis
  • Annually: Evaluation of inventory process improvements, loss prevention
Duties & Responsibilities:
