Type and nature of the contract:
- IT Intern for six months from September 2026 to February 2027 (Flexible on the contract sign).
- Full time (flexible working hours according to supervisor’s approval)
The IT Intern will work closely with the IT Officer and other relevant colleagues for six months. The internship is designed to provide practical experience that complements university studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Management Information Systems or related fields.
- Skills Gained and Learning Opportunities:
- Practical experience providing first-level IT support in a professional office environment.
- Hands-on exposure to computer hardware, Windows operating systems, software installation, printers, and common peripherals.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Practical understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Assist with IT asset inventory, equipment issuance and return, recordkeeping, and stock verification.
- Improved customer service, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and technical documentation skills.
- Shadowing, mentoring, and on-the-job training with IT professionals.
- IT Operations Support:
- Assist employees with basic computer, software, printer, email, meeting-room equipment, and connectivity issues, and escalate unresolved incidents to the supervisor.
- Support the setup, installation, configuration, update, and maintenance of approved computers, operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation preparation, equipment handover or return, and approved user-account requests.

- Undergraduate Degree in third- or fourth-year university student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or within one year of graduation
- Able to commit to a six-month internship and follow the organization’s regular work schedule.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, computer hardware, software installation, Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365, email, and networking concepts.
- Interest in IT support, digital communications, data systems, information management, or related technology areas.
- Basic graphic design, photography, social media, databases, or DHIS2 exposure is an advantage but not required.
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in Khmer and English.
- Responsible, well-organized, eager to learn, attentive to detail, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, customer-service, communication, and time-management skills.
