Teuk Saat 1001 is a Cambodian registered NGO providing access to Safe and Affordable drinking water in rural areas.

We set up small decentralized water production units, called water kiosks, in partnership with provincial and local authorities. Communes provide for free and indefinitely a plot of land and access to a water source, and in exchange, they get the ownership of the building once the activity starts.

As of December 2025, Teuk Saat 1001 enables almost 1.3 million people to drink safe water every day across 18 provinces. This performance is achieved thanks to the work of 1,069 local entrepreneurs and their operators running 343 water kiosks.

O-we1 water is the largest bottled water brand in rural Cambodia, with more than 209 million liters distributed in 2025.

Teuk Saat 1001 Background

Teuk Saat 1001 is a Cambodian non-governmental organization created in July 2007 as an offshoot of safe drinking water supply project in rural area in partnership with the French NGO “1001fontaines pour demain”. TS1001 continue to work on this initiative to undertake development projects, which improve the health of communities in rural Cambodia by providing safe drinking water.

TS1001 has been working in collaboration with International and local organization, as well as a wide range of government agencies, to provide safe drinking water to the rural communities of Cambodia.
