Reporting to: Head of Impact Investing
Term:
Unspecified duration, contract under Cambodian law. Minimum commitment of two years requested.
Salary: 1,600 – 2,000 USD per month depending on profile and experience (subject to approximately 10-20% taxation; benefiting from local competitive cost of living)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Are you ready to make a real difference? We’re looking for a dynamic Investment Analyst to support our fund management activities for the Pioneer Facility fund and Kiva Loan Fund. In this key role, you’ll engage throughout the deal cycle, contributing to impactful climate change projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Modeling: Build and stress-test financial models to assess investment opportunities.
- Sourcing and Origination: Identify and evaluate promising social enterprises.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough analyses to ensure sound investment decisions.
- Loan Documentation: Support the review and negotiation of loan agreements.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Collaborate with the Funds team on post-investment oversight.
This is your chance to work on diverse deals at various stages, all while reporting directly to the Head of Impact Investing and collaborating with a dedicated team.
- We are seeking individuals with at least 3 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, venture capital, SME lending or international development finance. Candidates with a background in corporate finance, investment banking or consulting are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excel at problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Demonstrate strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Have a solid understanding of financial statements and can interpret them effectively.
- Possess experience in investment analysis or corporate finance, preferably in emerging or frontier markets.
- Are skilled at managing investment deals from start to finish, including preparing investment memos.
- Have a genuine passion for impact investing and are up-to-date on financing mechanisms and trends in development finance and startup investing.
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven track record of project management success.
- Are self-motivated and driven, capable of working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with colleagues, investors, and investees.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to make a positive impact on businesses and communities.
- Are fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Southeast Asian languages (e.g. Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia, Filipino) is a valuable asset.
