HI, founded in 1982 in Cambodia and working today in more than 60 countries, is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. HI works alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.

In Cambodia, 4 projects are currently implemented in Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap provinces: 

  • SHARE project includes the three components: 
  • Socio-Economic Inclusion (SEI) component: social accountability and ensuring the quality of service provision for addressing the needs of vulnerable people especially people with disabilities and women. 
  • Mother and Child Health (MCH) component: improve the quality and accessibility of health services for people with disabilities, physical screening implementation, early detection, and referral and accessibility.  
  • Rehabilitation (REHAB) component: increasing access to quality rehabilitation services and strengthening referral with the health system. 
  • Accessibility project: Accessibility promotion for an Inclusive and Supportive Environment for All. The accessibility project promotes and disseminates the national accessibility guidelines, as well as disability inclusion 
  • Demining (DARM) project: Supporting long-term development and risk management of the Cambodian Self Help Demining Organization. 
  • Road Safety project: Estimated Road Crash generated Disability data collection from hospitals.

Interim Facility Officer

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

Socio-Economic, Rehab, and mother and Child health are the sub-project of SHARE project.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Translate documents from English to Khmer and vice versa
  • Assist with the management of administrative tasks
  • Responsible to act as first point of contact for incoming calls and e-mails
  • Facilitate staff travel arrangements
  • In charge of the reception of visitors
  • Facilitate the general management of the office and the meeting rooms
Requirements:
  • At least a senior (4th year) in university majoring in business administration, intenational relations, law, or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in administration or relevant section
  • Experience in International NGO (project or administration) will be an asset
  • Demonstrated high level of planning and work plan formulation skills
  • Able communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Able to use computer literature (Microsoft Office: excel, word, etc.)
  • Able to demonstrate high level of work discipline
  • Hardworking, Attention to detail, and good interpersonal skill.
