Information and Communication Technology Officer

Position Summary

Report to: Fundraising and Marketing Manager

Start Date: Oct 23rd, 2023 or as soon as possible

Position Summary

The ICT Officer is responsible and support on social media, video/article documentation, design and publish content and designed material related to entity work. He/she will focus on supporting and maintaining an efficient use of information technology, including diagnosing hardware and software, and other systems with regards to database management, system monitoring, user supports and training. The ICT Officer will be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, developing and delivering training, and providing technical support on IT issues and engage widely with all NGO members, students, as well as with IT suppliers.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Daily IT maintenance and troubleshooting, including server/internet/Facebook, email, website, and other internal systems.
  • Coordinate IT work with team to update information and seek for advice in relation to IT work/system and website management.
  • Install, configure, and maintain wireless router, relevant software, and share printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
  • Support the development of system management or initiative of Marketing Manager on Online SPOONS monitoring system.
  • Deliver training and coaching on information technology and other systems to all team members and students when needed.
  • Respond to hardware, software and network problems and needs on an immediate basis, liaising with the operations team, managers or external IT technicians and vendors to ensure issues are solved efficiently.
  • Track IT equipment and monitor hardware and software health and availability to ensure they are up and running efficiently.
  • Design and produce marketing materials such as newsletter, flyers, banners, leaflet, etc.
  • Design artwork and update monthly content on SPOONS Cambodia Organization and SPOONS Café and Restaurant’s social media platforms
  • In charge of all social medias and communication platforms including website of SPOONS Cambodia Organization and SPOONS Café Restaurant
  • Work with program team and other relevant staff to identify the successful story or case to produce brochure, leaflet, success video, story of change.
  • Participates and reports in all team meetings
  • Involve in the writing of storyboard and produce the video documentation, including taking photo related the story and events
  • Work with team to develop ICT guideline and ensure the implementation in the effectiveness and safety way
  • Monitor and recommend for improving the effectiveness of ICT policy to the management team.
  • Support team and other tasks, which assigned by line manager and others in direct line.
  • Works closely with the other trainers to address and solve student issues, regardless of individual or peer matters, and reports back to the Program Manager
  • Works with Program Manager to review and identify additional student training needs, including hospitality-related skills and general life skills to enhance their development and education
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by Manager/ Director
  • Attends established school activities
  • Involve in all meetings as required
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor degree in related field to IT/computer science related subjects
  • At least 2-year experience in the media or IT and working (preferred with the NGO field)
  • Knowledge and skills in IT, including managing social media platforms such as website, design, meta business, LinkedIn, email and develop articles, etc.
  • Good at developing articles, copy writing, contents, and design
  • Knowledge about the NGOs’ environment, specifically related to hospitality industry
  • Basic knowledge in managing system, saver, and networks
  • Basic understanding membership coordination, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office, design, photoshop, illustrator, video editing, Internet, and email)
  • Detail-oriented, committed, analytical, hardworking, and self-motivated person
  • Positive energy and attitude
  • Self-starting and initiative taker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good at English and Khmer both in writing and speaking

Social Work Manager

Position Summary

Position Summary

The Social Work Manager is responsible and support

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Coordinate student activities and events
  • Oversee Career Development Coordinator, Social Worker, and Training and Recruitment officer
  • Coordinating and conducting recruitment and student selection into SPOONS’s programs for Phase I and Phase II of the program including managing the vocational school application process
  • Coordinating and conducting recruitment and orientation of volunteers
  • Conducting social work orientation of new team members, including volunteers
  • Building relationships and communication with community partners and local government officials on issues relating to SPOONS Cambodia’s program
  • Identifying new partner sites, as needed
  • Networking with other NGOs as needed including organizing the NGO Collaboration Event
  • Follow up on student development and Student case management
  • Follow up and maintain good relationship with all alumni
  • Make sure life skills & student development classes and Women Initiative Program run smoothly and substitute team members as needed
  • Organize and coordinate social activities with students and partners
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure students are receiving best services
  • Assist with student transitions through the program and life after graduation
  • Manage and update student files (case notes, student contracts)
  • Serve as contact person for students as unforeseen problems arise and form trusting and open relationships with students
  • Communicate student issues with the team, student family, and or community partner sites
  • Support students experiencing emotional or physical distress
  • Implement the Behavior Management Strategy (BMS)
  • Hold one on one student meetings and interviews as needed
  • Monitor and assist students with medical issues in collaboration with contracted clinic
  • Assist with facilitating and implementing monitoring and evaluation interviews and surveys
  • Create, implement, and modify policies, documents, contracts, and procedures on an ongoing basis
  • Partake in weekly all-staff meetings, monthly meetings, and department meetings
  • Complete students report for the team and partners
  • Implement trainings and provide resources to SPOONS team members
  • Oversee the internship and job placement
  • Conducting training for students where needed (including but not limited to Introduction to Hospitality Courses)
  • Assist SPOONS Cambodia team members with other aspects of the organization, as needed
  • Conduct home visit with Training and Recruitment Officer
  • Other tasks as assigned by Director and SPOONS committee members
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in social work or related field with supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience working with disadvantage young adult’s issues is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Khmer (Excellent spoken and written English)
  • Requires working on Sundays on a rotating basis.
  • Willing to explore cultural trends to ensure appropriate support is offered (local student/youth culture – what is impacting students outside of their school and accommodation). 
  • Experience working directly with youth groups and managing caseloads.
