Job Summary

IRD, a research organization, in conjunction with the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases International Center of Excellence (NIAID-ICER) Cambodia has an exciting opportunity for a laboratory technician in the Immunology Unit. The laboratory technician will work under supervision of the laboratory manager to perform sample preparation and data acquisition by flow cytometry. The laboratory technician will process biological specimens as part of ongoing research protocols to study endemic and emerging infectious diseases at NIAID-ICER Cambodia in Phnom Penh. This will be a full-time position with benefits included.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The technician will be responsible for laboratory work at NIAID-ICER Cambodia. Specific roles include, but are not limited to:
  • Process and store biospecimens as part of research protocols
  • Flow cytometry
  • Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and related immunoassays
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Education and Experiences:
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in an Immunology laboratory
  • Skills and ability:
  • Ability to perform flow cytometry including sample preparation, instrument maintenance and calibration, compensation, and acquisition
  • Excellent working knowledge of English language
  • Other:
  • Cambodian nationality
